Meet Luna, a female Timneh Grey Parrot with richly scalloped charcoal-grey plumage, pale facial skin and a graceful curved beak. The original photographs show a horn-colored upper beak with a darker lower portion and a small glimpse of her muted maroon tail. Her species and female identity are supplied by the seller; the photographs alone do not verify sex. Luna is stated to be exactly two years old as of October 12, 2026, giving a calculated hatch date of October 12, 2024 rather than a documented hatch record. Timneh Greys are known for intelligence and vocal learning, but individual speech, temperament and training vary. She deserves a thoughtful home prepared for daily companionship, patient care and a long-term commitment.

Care requirements

Offer a spacious, secure enclosure that allows comfortable movement, varied bird-safe perches and room for climbing, chewing and foraging. Provide daily interaction, supervised exercise, rotating enrichment and opportunities for problem-solving, alongside a predictable routine and uninterrupted rest. Timneh Greys need mental stimulation and appropriate ongoing avian veterinary care. Consider feather dust, vocalization and a lifespan spanning many decades. No individual health clearance, DNA sexing certificate, training or temperament claim is established by these photos; request available records and discuss suitability before purchase.

Diet

Provide a balanced diet of suitable formulated parrot food, varied fresh vegetables and appropriate portions of other bird-safe foods, guided by an avian veterinarian. Pay attention to calcium and overall nutritional balance; avoid an all-seed diet and supplements without professional advice. Supply fresh water daily. Never offer avocado, chocolate, caffeine or alcohol.
